HP has increased the printing and networking performance with no additional cost. It is powered with a 133-MHz processor, higher memory, better printing out with full engine speed.
It offers 16 MB installed RAM (double than previous printers) expandable up to 200MB, 1200 dpi max resolution with full engine printing speed, 17 ppm speed, and 2 paper trays.
As an improved networking performance you get optional networking with 600N (EIO) HP JetDirect internal print servers for Ethernet 10BaseT, 10Base2, 100BaseTX, LocalTalk, and Token Ring networks.
The LaserJet 4050 powered with a variety of print languages – HP PCL 5, HP PCL 6, and PostScript Level 2 emulation to ensure compatibility with both PC and Mac.
At max speed, it can print up to 17 pages per minute which is a decent speed for normal office work.
